Flow Smart® (Power Saving System of Refrigeration Pump): Frequently Asked Questions
Q1. What are major differences between the primary pump system and the secondary pump system?

A1. A feed water system, which feeds water up to the secondary side by the use of refrigeration machine pump without feed water pump on the secondary side (i.e., the secondary-side feed water pump installed between the refrigeration machine and the air conditioner), is referred to the primary pump system. In order to apply the Flow Smart® to this system, it is needed to install two-way valve control mechanism for flow rate control in the bypass piping and also a flow meter in the bypass piping for monitoring the flow rate.
Furthermore, if no flow meters are installed in the return load system on the secondary side, the flow meter is also required there.
